In the second part of the journey to Everest Base Camp, we will see the places reached during the first day of acclimatization to high altitude. A walk of about six hours from Namche Bazaar to the village of Khumjung and back to Namche. The village of Khumjung is known in the valley because in the small temple of the village is preserved, according to the beliefs of the local population, the head of a Yeti and also for the school dedicated to Edmund Hillary, the first climber of Mount Everest (29-05-1953). A walk during which, reached the highest point at 3860 m is possible to see for the first time, the most important peaks of the trip: Lhotse, Everest, Ama Dablam and many other famous Himalayan mountains.
