Serifos on Google Maps.
Located in the south-western Cyclades, the small island of Serifos once inhabited only by shepherds and farmers, is now starting to be frequented by tourists looking for places to spend a peaceful holiday. Suffice it to say that the Capital Chora or Hora is so perched on the hills that it is not possible, due to the narrow and steep streets, to cross them by car or scooter. Suitcases and provisions are carried, as in the past, on the back of a donkey or a mule. This first part of the journey takes place on the eastern coasts passing from the beaches of the bay of Lia in front of the island of Vous, the rocky bays of Pili Amos, the beautiful beach of Aghios Ioannis up to the Monastery of Moni Taxiarhci with a beautiful view of the Platis Gialos bay. A journey to the Cyclades where the time seems to have stopped while around the ferries pass fast towards the most touristic and crowded islands of the southern archipelago. A journey of relaxation, good food and walking.
