Scuba Diving in Red Sea (Sudan)

Sudan - Travel - Back to index

Diving sites on Google Maps.
The cruise itinerary includes the archipelago reefs in front of the ancient port of Suakin. The itinerary in the south-east of the Sudanese coast, allows you to visit coral formations different from those of the central north. No more reefs arranged parallel to the coast, but pinnacles of rock and coral that rise to the surface with walls pierced by deep ravines and even very large caves. Being in the middle of the sea sometimes only one hundred meters wide, they are a spectacle of alcionari, gorgonia, corals and large fish. A rich and colorful habitat that deserves a trip for divers with some experience. To reach the archipelago, the navigation is interrupted by the visit to the shoal of Sha-ab Jbna also known with the name of Jumna. Other dive sites are Sha-ab Ambar, Seil-ada Kebir and Keary Reef. A nice boat trip to discover the almost unexplored reefs along the southern coast of the Sudanese Red Sea.
