Aitutaki island on Google Maps.
The island of Aitutaki is not only a tourist destination with a large lagoon with turquoise waters and prestigious hotels but it is also the site of an important research center on the cultivation of pearl oysters and on the large tridacna shells that carry an important work of water purification inside the lagoons generated by the reef. A journey to discover the island with the intervention of the head of the Marine Resources Pearl Cultivation Centre that explains the work done by researchers on the pearls, one of the morst important product for the economy of archipelago.
