The Jungfraujoch, is a mountain pass situated in the middle of the mountains Monch and Jungfrau between the valleys of Grindelwald and Wengen in the Bernese Alps. On the pass, overlooking the Aletsch glacier, there is the highest railway station in Europe (3454 m) reached by a 7.5 km tunnel dug into the mountains Eiger and Monch in the late 1800s. From the station at Kleine Scheidegg (2061 m), the train travels a total of 9.3 km with two spectacular intermediate stops: Eigerwand (2,864 m) and Eismeer (3158 m) where, thanks to the large windows, you look the landscape of the north wall Eiger and the Jungfrau glacier. In the station "Top of the Europe", you will find a restaurant, shops, an astronomical observatory (3571 m) from where you can see the spectacular panorama of Aletsch glacier but is the history of the great work to build the railway that attracts tourists.  In ice tunnels dug directly into the glacier is possible to see photos and objects that tell the story of this unique railway in the world. The departure station of Kleine Scheidegg is accessible by train from Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen passing through the town of Wengen.
