Palermo on Google Maps.
Capital of the Sicily region, Palermo is a city rich in history and culture that amazes and fascinates the visitor. Dynamic and lively in the street, squares and colorful local markets as only Sicily can offer, a town that offers unique monuments in the world such as the Palazzo dei Normanni (Royal Palace) with archaeological remains of Punic fortifications, loggias and colonnaded balconies in the internal courtyard, gardens and the Palatine Chapel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with three naves supported by granite and marble columns. Another of the most visited monuments of the city is the cathedral with a climb to the top of the roof to admire the panorama of the city without forgetting the squares of the Quattro Canti and the one in front of the church of Santa Caterina. A visit to Palermo cannot end without visiting the squares of historic markets such as the Vuccineria, Ballarò and Capo where you can taste typical products of the area such as arancini and delicious fish dishes. A journey to discover a city waiting to be discovered.
