Since 1990, a group of volunteers have dedicated their efforts to recovering from degradation and destruction a military fort considered one of the most important and strategic in the Piedmontese Alps at the end of the nineteenth century. From pile of rubble to museum. How the solders lived, what they carried on them, what weapons they used and what was the context of life in a border fort, this can be discovered by visiting Forte Bramafam (Bardonecchia Alta Val Susa), a story told by Pier Giorgio Corino, director of the Museum and creator of this incredible Italian history.
