Koufonisi on Google Maps.
Koufonisi is part of the Small Cyclades, a group of four islands sheltered from the sea and wind by the major islands of Naxos to the north and Amorgos to the south. Little Koufonisi, only 10 square kilometers in area, is a place to seek tranquility in an atmosphere now lost on the other islands of the Cyclades archipelago. Fringed with bays with sandy beaches, the island is famous for its low cliffs in which the sea has created small and large natural pools. Hora, the only village on the island and port for the ferries that connect it with the rest of the archipelago, is a village of white houses and stone-paved alleys overlooked by shops and restaurants with large dehors where in the evening tourists gather to socialize with the local population and taste typical dishes of the island. A holiday for those who love tranquility, the simple life and walks along the coast to admire the sunsets made even more suggestive by the profiles of the nearby islands.
