Antibes on Google Maps.
Antibes is a nice town on the French Riviera between Cannes and Nice and its main feature, in addition to being a famous tourist resort, is to have of having one of the finest examples of the 16th century defensive architecture made by the French military architect Sebastien de la Prestre de Vauban known simply as Vauban. The fortress dominates from the hill and protects the entrance to the ancient port today crowded with sailboats and yacths while mighty stone ramparts completely surround the historic center. Passing the large portals you enter a maze of alleys and streets that reach every corner of the historic center passing from the large covered market to the castle in which a large museum has been created dedicated to the works of the painter Pablo Picasso who for several years lived in Antibes. A journey to discover a town of considerable historical and architectural interest in the middle of the Côte d'Azur.
