During Christmas season, in the cities of Strasbourg, Colmar and Obernai, the square of the towns are crowded with stalls creating wonderful Christmas Markets. Christmas Markets are one of the major attractions of the year in many parts of Europe but in Alsace, thanks to the atmosphere created by the ancient city districts, become places that take you back in time. A real step in the past to walk in the medieval quarters of Strasbourg or along the canals of Colmar or in the pretty squares of Obernai. The stalls expose handicrafts, sweets, food products of the region, clothing and toys where children and adults look at the thousands of items on display.
