The Mount Rosa is a mountain massif located between Italy (Piedmont and Aosta Valley) and Switzerland (Valais). Monte Rosa is the second highest mountain in the Alps after Mont Blanc. Its four sides of which 3 in Italy (the Liskamm heading above the Val de Gressoney, the Valsesian side above Alagna Valsesia at the upper part of the Valle della Sesia, and the big east wall above Macugnaga in the Valle Anzasca), and the Swiss north-western side with several glaciers, they are passable all year round thanks numerous ski resorts, shelters and paths that from the surrounding valleys rise to the summit at 4,634 meters. This reportage describes a path suitable for families and beginners that, going up with the Gabiet cableway that leaves from Stafal a village at the bottom of the Gressoney valley, reaches a small refuge from which to go down to the valley by feet through thick woods and alpine glades to observe the beautiful views offered by the Rosa massif.
