La Mongie on Google Maps.
At the base of Pic du Midi de Bigorre, in the middle of French Pyrenees in Occitania Region, the ski resort of La Mongie is not only known for its many ski lifts but also to be one of the cycling stops of Tour de France, that of Tourmalet Pass, which in winter is easily reached with the chairlift. With 69 ski slopes and 43 ski lifts, La Mongie is one of the most important ski resorts in Pyrenees. From 1400 m to 2500 m, the slopes trace fantastic trails along the mountains to the valley and are suitable for any skier, from the less experienced to the Freeriders. La Mongie is also open to gastronomic and astronomical tourism. From La Mongie in fact departs from the cable car that brings visitors, astronomers and skiers to the group of observers present at Pic de Bigorre. An unforgettable experience to visit the observers and sleep one night in the guest area available to the public.
